Charleston Workshop with Robert

Charleston is a fun energetic dance which can be done solo or partnered. This workshop will focus on solo charleston as seen in the stage shows and cabarets of the 1920′s onwards and now seen on Strictly Come Dancing and films such as ‘The Artist’. It’s time to get those crazy legs moving and putt a smile on your face!

Introduction to Tap Dance Workshop

The focus of this workshop will be to give you an insight into Tap Dance and introduce you to the basic steps and rhythms which will then help ease you into the Beginner’s Tap Class which we run on Tuesdays 7.15pm.
 
Also suitable for those that currently attend our Tuesday class and want to recap the technique and practice the basic steps.
 
No tap shoes are required for this workshop – a chance to try before you buy the shoes and see if you like it. Please note we are unable to provide shoes for you at the workshop.

About Eleanor:

Eleanor Peters-Savva known as Miss Eleanor from The Waacktitioners originates from London. She is a Music Graduate and a musician as well as a dancer and applies both music and dance full time. Within Waacking she has trained and studied with Tyrone Proctor, Waackeisha, Kumari, Princess Lockeroo (Tyrone’s students) and learned from Shabba-Doo (originators).
 
The Waacktitioners are the UK’s First Waacking crew and bought Waacking to the forefront, forming in September 2009 and since then the style has began to spread like wildfire.
 
Prepare to have your ears tested and hear the music like you’ve never heard it before, get funky, sweat, get lean toned arms and learn some History and Foundations of the freestyle dance called “Waacking.”

AUDITIONS FOR THE DANCE COMPANY!

This is an audition to pick a group of dancers to train and work with the best in the world.

The Company will be looking for dancers that can pick up choreography with an ability to freestyle. Each dancer will be judged on their ability to pick up skills, passion, feeling, precision and control , as well as ability to dance.

All dance styles are welcome and All ages are welcome.
You will be taught a routine that will aim to challenge you.

THE ROUTINE IS A CONTEMPORARY HIPHOP ROUTINE. AIMING TO SEE IF YOU CAN GIVE EMOTION AND ALSO HAVE BODY CONTROL.

This is an opportunity to tour around England and countries around the world, doing what you love….DANCE.

Jason has worked along stars such as Lady Gaga, Neyo, Mary J. Blige on her “Music Saved My Life” tour, Miley Cyrus, Jordan Sparks, and Paula Abdul. His TV and Film experience includes shows such as Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance US (Season 2 – top 10 male contestants), FAME Film (principal dancer), High School Musical 3 Film (principal dancer), as well as working with brands such as Nike Inc. He has also danced in theatre productions including Aida, Chicago, and South Pacific.

A regular choreographer and teacher all over the States, he also has travelled to Australia, New Zealand and Amsterdam to deliver Masterclasses. In the UK for one week only this is an opportunity not to be missed!!

Mark has performed worldwide with musical artists such as Destiny’s Child, Take That, Blue, Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Steps, Girls Aloud, Lionel Ritchie, Spice Girls, and Boyzone.

His  experience spans from live concerts, tv shows and music videos! His choreography has transformed shows for brands such as Aveda, Harley Davidson,  Clothes Show, Tigi, Ben Sherman, Red Mother, Adidas, Speedo, V Festival,  Salon International,  and The Motor Show.

Mark Webb works extensively with Mass Movement Ltd – an agency devoted to supplying the highest calibre of dancers to the entertainment industry and all its facets. Their clients include Sony, BBC, Tinchy Stryder, DKNY, MTV, T4, Strictly Come Dancing, Eurovision and Polydor Records.
