About Us

Founded in 2009 by Katie Geddes, The Dance Studio Leeds is based in a converted textile mill very close to Leeds city centre. A trained professional dancer and teacher herself, she had always dreamt of running her own studio centre, so when the opportunity arose, she jumped at the chance, and thus the business formed.

Since its establishment the studio has welcomed clients from all aspects of the arts and beyond to the studio, including the likes of the BBC, West End Theatre companies, and some of the largest dance organisations in the UK, who have used the space for their regional castings, rehearsals and classes.

“Housing local groups and company classes we have a packed weekly class timetable and regularly hold other workshops and events for all levels and ages of dancers and performers.

We wish to continue to do so in order to help Leeds develop as a vibrant and cultural city, in particular increasing the services and opportunities for dancers in our region.
